Appearance
Light brown to olive body, marked with 10–20 distinct, dark brown or black crossbands. It is easily recognized by three specific dark, arrow-shaped markings on its head and a white, smooth-scaled belly.
Toxicology
Non-venomous.
Habitat
Rainforests, dry, and moist deciduous, agricultural lands, and human habitations. These snakes favor areas with loose soil, leaf litter, and rocks, often hiding under logs or in crevices during the day.
Distribution.
Widely distributed across Thailand, particularly in central, eastern, and western regions.
Although sightings of these cats have been reported, they are rarely seen due to their habitat and behaviour. Nearly all sightings today are with camera traps.
The Banded Kukri snake is a small, non-venomous, nocturnal, and semi-fossorial (burrowing) snake.
