Location

Pang Sida National Park is located in the Sankamphaeng Range, in eastern Thailand, in Sa Kaeo province, 28 km north of Sa Kaeo City,

The park is part of the Dong Phayayen–Khao Yai Forest Complex.

It is approximately 230 - 260 km from Bangkok.

History

The park was established in 1982 and became 41st national park in Thailand.  Being part of the a Dong Phayayen–Khao Yai Forest Complex it is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Ecosystem

Pang Sida composes tropical rain, evergreen, and deciduous forests. 

It is home to 81 mammal species, 153+ bird species and 30+ species of reptiles. Endangered species found in the park, include Siamese crocodil.

Size

Ta Phraya covers an area of  844 km².

Getting There
Pang Sida is fairly remote and not easily accessed using public transport, so it is best to visit by car. In the rainy season a 4wd would be beneficial. The journey from Bangkok takes approximately 4hrs.

The park has a campsite with basic amenities. 

There are a number of  houses available to rent, prebooking through the department of National Parks website at portal.dnp.go.th  is neccessary.
